The car can be equipped by automatic 5-step transmission. Automatic transmission has elektronno-hydraulic management of a gear change (so-called “EH” - management). It means that the system of hydraulics АТ has the electronic block of management which depending on speed and engine loading chooses the right time gear changes.

For optimum adaptation to individual characteristics of the driver and traffic conditions АТ has an adaptive control system (AGS). At a choice of transfer system along with various conditions, as for example, movement uphill or downhill, with the trailer, on equal road or faltering considers also a management style. Thus AGS analyzes moving of a pedal of gas, speed, cross-section acceleration (movement on turn) and delay at braking.

On the basis of the received information the system defines type of the driver and classifies it on one of four programs which are available in a control system. Programs share on especially economic “XE” - the program, programs “E” and “S” and on the sports program “XS”. The drivers inclined to a strongly pronounced sports management style, establish the selector of a choice of a mode in position “4”. On equal road the additional winter program of movement raising coupling of the car with road and stability of movement is automatically connected also.

Steptronic - system with AGS and step-by-step switching

Some models of the car are equipped with control system АТ Steptronic. Thus there is a short side scene with a step-by-step gear change. Such gear change is accepted in an auto- and motorcycle sport.

In a mode of automatics which at advance has only a step “D”, there is an automatic switching of five transfers by means of an adaptive control system. In the left side scene the driver chooses transfers any way. If it in the left path changes a mode with “D” on “M” the established transfer is maintained. If it presses the selector forward in a direction “+”, the check point is switched to higher transfer, if in a direction “-” it is switched to lower transfer.

Contrary to manual switching Steptronic is more comfortable and will exclude such errors at management as inadmissible switchings and inclusion on lower transfer at high turns of the engine. At dispersal without manual intervention of the driver the system before falling of number of turns of the engine is automatically switched to higher step. At dispersal by means of a pedal kik-daun without inclusion by means of the selector necessarily there is a transfer switching on is minimum possible.

At movement of the car without participation of the engine system Steptronic is automatically switched to 3rd transfer to provide necessary effort of the engine at its connection.
For an estimation of kind of work АТ and search of malfunctions corresponding experience and the special tool is required. For this reason in the present Management removal АТ, adjustment of a drive of management and oil replacement is described only.
