BMW 5 series E39

1. Remove a power shaft and clear it.

2. Cut a collar of fastening of a protective cover of the internal hinge.

3. Remove оправкой a cover of a ring of the hinge.

4. Remove a protective cover of a ring of the hinge and displace a power shaft.
5. Wipe a rag hinge greasing.

6. Unclench nippers and remove a lock ring.

7. Выпрессуйте a power shaft оправкой (1) from the internal hinge (2). Thus a spherical nave put on a plate (3).

8. Check up the hinge on presence of pollution or damages. If necessary replace with the new. It is recommended not to replace the hinge whenever possible.
9. Clear the hinge. For this purpose it is necessary to disassemble it. In this case mark on end faces position of a spherical nave, a holder and a hinge element rather each other.

At assemblage watch special cleanliness.

10. Remove an internal protective cover (the reducer party) through a profile shaft.
11. If necessary cut a collar of fastening of a protective cover at an external cover and remove a cover through a power shaft. Thus watch that the dirt has not got to the hinge.

1. Carefully clear the hinge of equal angular speeds in the collected condition.

2. Put on new protective covers. Thus protect sharp edges of a power shaft the corresponding plug or stick with a tape to protect covers at their putting on.

3. Fill the hinge with new greasing.

Special greasing contains in the repair complete set “Protective cover”.

4. Establish the internal hinge on a power shaft.

5. Fix a power shaft the tightening adaptation (1) in a vice.

7. Напрессуйте the hinge a corresponding pipe (2) against the stop.
8. Remove the tightening adaptation.
9. Insert a new lock ring by means of nippers. Check up its landing in a groove.
10. Fill external hinges and protective covers with special greasing. Watch that the dirt has not got to the hinge. The quantity of entered greasing is specified in Specifications.
11. Grease with a thin layer of hermetic “Curil T” or “Stucarit Dicht-Gel 309/4” sealing surfaces of a cover. Press a cover a press ring.
12. Grease with a thin layer of hermetic “Curil T” or “Stucarit Dicht-Gel 309/4” sealing surfaces of a protective cover. Press a casing a press ring.
13. Fix a protective cover a collar. Watch that the lock of the big collar lay between two apertures of the hinge of equal angular speeds.
14. Put on a cover of the external hinge and fix a collar on the big diameter.
15. Put on covers through a thickening on приводном to a shaft and fix collars.
16. Establish a power shaft.
