Removal and installation of the coil of ignition

Ignition coils can be checked up an ohmmeter. However exact check should is spent by means of an oscillograph in the conditions of repair trucks. Such check allows to establish the reasons of malfunctions in ignition system.

 REMOVAL

1. Switch off ignition.

2. Remove caps of bolts of fastening and turn away two bolts.

3. Remove covers of butterdishes and a cover of a head of cylinders.

4. Disconnect tips from each candle. For this purpose pull upward a metal stopper.

5. Turn away two bolts of fastening at each coil of ignition. Take out coils.

Pay attention to a plate of weight of a cover of a head of cylinders at cylinders 1 and 6.

6. Pay attention to a plate of weight of mine of a cable between cylinders 2 and 3, if a cover of a head of cylinders the metal. If a cover plastic, pay attention to a cable of weight (1) at a connecting plate (2), address to an illustration. Cables at assemblage should be laid on the former places.

 CHECK

1. On an illustration the tip of one of ignition coils is shown.
Attach an ohmmeter between plugs 1 and 15 and measure resistance of a primary winding. It should make nearby 0.8 Ohm.

Resistance of a secondary winding (between spark plug connection, the plug 4 and weight connection) is not measured.

2. Replace tips of spark plugs, address to Section Removal and installation of the tip of a spark plug.


INSTALLATION

1. Insert coils of ignition with tips and fix metal clips.
2. Establish facing of a head of cylinders. Put covers of butterdishes.
