Removal and installation of the block of management DME
| | Each block of management is programmed by certain values. The block of management depending on an engine condition obtains the various data from gauges. These values are compared to the values containing in memory of the block. On the basis of comparison the block gives out corresponding operating commands. It is possible to enter new values into the block, i.e. to "train" it. If the block of management does not receive more than one hour a food (the storage battery is removed or disconnected) the data received as a result of training, is lost. |
At repeated putting into operation of the block or installation new it is necessary to enter the new data into system. This process after start can lead to unstable work of the engine and hindrances at movement in a mode of compulsory idling. It is necessary to pass some minutes on the car with change by speed that all values in the block were adjusted in conformity with an engine condition.
After installation of the new block of management it is necessary for coding and programming that is carried out by firm BMW. The special device of diagnostics/input is For this purpose necessary. If it is possible, pass on the car with the old block of management and then on разогретый the engine establish the new device. It accelerates process of adjustment of the block.

1. At removal of the block of management it is recommended to deduce values from memory of malfunctions on HUNDRED BMW. It allows to reveal malfunctions, address to Section Memory of malfunctions. |
| 2. Disconnect a cable of weight of the storage battery. The battery is in a luggage carrier behind the right lateral facing. |

3. Remove a filter box in an impellent compartment behind on the right that it was possible to reach electronics box, address to Section Removal and installation of a drive of a screen wiper/cover. |
4. Turn away bolts of fastening and disconnect a cover from the block of safety locks. |

6. Take out the block of management from clips. Bolts of fastening of clips it is not necessary to turn on. |

1. At purchase of the new block of management it is necessary to know number and the coding of the old. For this purpose it is recommended to take it with itself.
2. Insert the management block, join штекерное connection. Close a connection stopper.
3. Establish covers.
4. Establish the storage battery.
5. If the block of management has been disconnected more than one hour or the new block is established: Warm up the engine to working temperature. Pass about 10 mines with variable speed. Thus the management block will obtain the necessary data. |
