BMW 5 series E39

1. Check up oil level, if necessary add.
2 Pass on the car, having warmed up the engine. The oil temperature should make nearby +80С.

3. The relay of pressure of the index of oil is on the case of the oil filter. Turn away a bolt (2) uncover the oil filter that oil has flown down back in the engine. Address to an accompanying illustration.

4. Disconnect a cable from the relay of the index of pressure of oil (12) and turn out it.

5. Instead of the relay screw a manometre.
6. Fix a cover of the oil filter.
7. Start the engine on single turns. Pressure of oil for all engines should be not less than 0.5 bar.
8. Increase number of turns of the engine to 5000 - 6000 rpm. Pressure of oil should be between 4.0 (for the diesel engine 3.8) and 4.7 bar.
9. Insert the relay of pressure with a new sealing ring and tighten its moment of 20 Nanometers. Attach a cable.
10. Fix a cover on the case of the oil filter the moment of 20 Nanometers.
11. If pressure of oil differs from a preset value, address to Section Diagnostics of malfunctions of system of greasing.
