BMW 5 series E39

1. Warm up the engine to working temperature. For this purpose pass on the car so that the index of temperature of a cooling liquid showed normal working temperature.
2. Check up level of a cooling liquid, if necessary add a liquid.
3. Open a stopper of a broad tank.

At разогретом the engine before opening of a cover of a radiator put on it a thick rag to exclude a burn owing to emission of a hot liquid and steam. There is a danger of accident. The cover can be opened only at temperature of a cooling liquid more low +90С.

4. Establish through an adapter on a branch pipe for pouring of a cooling liquid of a broad tank the device for tightness check. The manual pump of the device create pressure nearby 1.0 bar. If within two minutes pressure falls more, than to 0.1 bar, find негерметичность and eliminate it. A sign of a defective place is the liquid following from it. Address to an accompanying illustration.

5. If pressure of a liquid falls without вытекания liquids or even rises, damage of a sealing lining of a head of cylinders or a crack to the case can be the reason, for example.
6. For safety valve check in a radiator stopper establish on it the device for check. Create pressure the manual pump. At pressure 2.0 bar the safety valve should open. Otherwise replace a stopper.
7. Create depression in a radiator. At depression 0.1 bar the vacuum valve in a radiator stopper should open.
