Offered recommendations assume independent performance of procedures of service of the car by its owner unlike the works which are carried out on a car repair shop of dealer branch of company BMW. Though the given schedule is made on the basis of manufacturer recommendations, intervals between the majority of procedures, at the discretion of the owner of the car, it is possible to reduce, for example, check and replacement of greasings and liquids should be made with the intervals providing the maximum service life of the engine or a drive. Besides, if the owner of the car is interested in supporting it in a condition of the maximum readiness for operation on a case of the possible resale, many procedures can be carried out more often. We only welcome the similar initiative.

Initial service and check of the new car should be made on a car repair shop of dealer branch of firm for the purpose of performance of conditions of the guarantee certificate. In most cases such check is made free of charge (for the further information address in dealer branch of firm).

Intervals of service of car BMW of 5th series depend on conditions of its operation. Service intervals are displayed on the panel of devices. The index of intervals of service has five green, one yellow and one red light-emitting diodes (LED). Inscriptions “Oilservice”, “Inspektion”, and also a symbol of hours (means necessity of replacement of a brake liquid) in addition can light up. On HUNDRED after the work, carried out together with oil or performance replacement THAT, indication of necessity of carrying out of service is dumped. The works which are carried out within the limits of maintenance service THOSE, it is necessary to spend at inscription fire “Inspektion” in a combination to a yellow light-emitting diode. If not to follow the index of intervals of service service it is necessary to spend each 20 000 km, or once in 2 years. Every second maintenance service (ТО-2) includes additional works.

All points listed above, plus:
